Architects vs A.I.

When we see some pretty cool things being done with AI and how much quicker and vastly different it can create things, it's easy to think of how many skills it can replace.  But when you look at what it's creating those things from, you realize, it's just quickly imitating what's been done before.  It's not actually creating anything.

Architects are great at meeting the clients' needs within the constraints of the code, and site, and budget (wink, wink) but what sets us apart from AI or any software is our ability to think creatively.  If we limited ourselves to strict readings of the code, all our buildings would look the same.  But we can look at a situation and see how making a tweak way over here, can let us make a bigger change over there.
