Argonne Village
Romax Associates formed an ambitious plan — redevelop Argonne Village into
a lively and colorful shopping center that could really compete with others in the
area.
Given Argonne Village's location we did not have to contend with the usual residential
neighborhood constraints. With this greater latitude, we created an exciting and
lavish design that serves to counteract the structure's distance from the surrounding
streets. The signature feature is a 60-foot-high rotunda that displays huge "lifestyle"
pictures.
Yoke's Foods realized the great potential of the shopping center. We designed an
exterior look that combined their "Fresh Marketplace" branding with Argonne
Village's color and graphic themes. They liked it so much that they made those elements
part of the interior design.
