Heyburn State Park

Bernardo Wills provided landscape architecture, branding, and site enhancement design services for improvements to the Chatcolet and Rocky Point boat launch areas at Heyburn State Park. Working in collaboration with Verdis and Idaho Parks and Recreation, the project focused on improving accessibility, circulation, wayfinding, and the overall visitor experience within one of Idaho’s most treasured recreational destinations.

Project elements included coordination of ADA-compliant parking and pedestrian pathways, design assistance for wayfinding and entry monument signage, site furnishing and bike rack placement, dumpster enclosure design, and native landscape planting plans tailored to the park’s natural environment. The landscape design emphasized durable, low-maintenance plantings with a native palette appropriate for non-irrigated conditions.

In addition to landscape architecture services, Bernardo Wills provided logo and branding design support to help establish a cohesive visual identity for the marina and launch areas. The completed improvements enhance usability, strengthen site character, and support long-term recreational access for park visitors.
