McEuen Park Redevelopment
As a member of Team McEuen, Bernardo Wills led the landscape architecture and park planning effort to generate a master plan for the complete redevelopment of this lakefront park. Taking a cue from the area’s natural beauty, park amenities and open space are thoughtfully sited and integrated to create a vibrant yet relaxed environment. Carefully planned pedestrian and vehicle circulation streamlines park access and flow, while creative site furnishings enhance users’ enjoyment of this destination venue.
An all-inclusive renovation by Bernardo Wills and other members of Team McEuen transformed this lakefront facility into a destination park. New amenities include: a street-front promenade, a grand plaza and waterfront promenade, an amphitheater, a children’s playground and splash pad, tennis and basketball courts, a memorial tree, a veterans memorial, a dog park and a donor wall. The makeover also includes the rerouting of the Centennial Trail as well as a new irrigation system, plantings and site furnishings.
