Bernardo Wills provided architectural design services for the new Rosauers Supermarket in Belgrade, Montana, a single-story grocery store totaling approximately 60,000 square feet.
Designed as a full-service retail destination, the project includes expansive grocery and specialty sales areas, a bakery, deli, meat and produce departments, pharmacy, customer service spaces, and employee support facilities. The building's exterior features a highly articulated façade with prominent entrance elements, canopies, a pharmacy drive-thru, loading dock facilities, and durable concrete masonry construction.
The project also incorporates elevated mezzanine spaces for customer deli seating and employee offices and break areas, requiring extensive code review, structural coordination, and detailed integration within the overall building design.
Working closely with the owner, developer, consultants, and specialty vendors, the design team coordinated a complex development process involving multiple cost-review milestones and stakeholder evaluations. The completed store delivers a modern grocery experience while supporting the continued growth of the Belgrade community.
