Together Spokane: Shaping the Future of Our Community

Last week, Bernardo Wills had the privilege of hosting Together Spokane, an event dedicated to collaboration, insight, and forward-thinking dialogue about the future of our city. In partnership with Spokane Public Schools and Spokane Parks and Recreation, the evening brought together design and construction professionals from across the region to learn more about upcoming bond and levy projects and to explore how our collective expertise can help shape Spokane’s next chapter.

A Shared Vision for Spokane’s Future
At its core, Together Spokane represents the spirit of collaboration that defines our community. The event provided an opportunity for architects, engineers, contractors, and designers to connect directly with public agencies and learn about the exciting projects on the horizon.

Bond and levy projects are more than just new buildings or facility upgrades. They’re investments in people; in students, families, and the community members who rely on well-designed spaces to learn, play, and thrive. Through evenings like Together Spokane, local professionals gain insight into the priorities driving these public initiatives and discover ways to contribute their expertise to meaningful, community-focused work.

An Evening of Collaboration and Connection
Throughout the evening, attendees heard from leaders at Spokane Public Schools and Spokane Parks and Recreation, who shared updates on future projects and the role these efforts will play in shaping a stronger, more equitable Spokane. Presentations highlighted opportunities to enhance educational environments, create accessible recreation spaces, and deliver long-term value to the residents these projects serve.

Between presentations, attendees had the chance to connect with peers and public partners. Fostering the kind of relationships that make Spokane’s design and construction community so strong. The energy in the room reflected a shared commitment: to bring creativity, innovation, and care to every project that impacts our city’s future.

A Continuing Commitment to Community
At Bernardo Wills, we believe that great design begins with listening. Hosting Together Spokane gave us the opportunity to continue that tradition by helping facilitate meaningful conversations between public leaders and the local design community.

We’re deeply grateful to Together Spokane, Spokane Public Schools, and Spokane Parks and Recreation for their partnership, leadership, and continued investment in the future of our city.

Events like these remind us why we do what we do: to design places, spaces, and visions that make communities better.
