Building Community with Habitat for Humanity
At Bernardo Wills, we believe architecture is about more than buildings — it’s about people, purpose, and community. That’s why we were honored to join Habitat for Humanity-Spokane today for their national veterans’ build, a program that brings together veterans, service members, and their families to construct safe, decent, and affordable housing for all.
This year’s event took place at the Spokane Valley job site, where Habitat-Spokane is building three duplexes that will soon provide stable housing for local families. Each home is sold through the Habitat Homeownership Program, helping qualified low- to moderate-income families achieve the strength and stability that comes with affordable homeownership.
Our entire office was invited to step away from our desks and lend a hand on the job site. It was an incredible experience to work side by side with community partners, veterans, and future homeowners — all united by the shared vision of building a stronger Spokane.
At Bernardo Wills, we say we “give your purpose a place.” Today, that purpose meant picking up a hammer and helping create places for families to thrive.
