Midway Market
Midway Market & Fuel Station is a new neighborhood grocery and fueling destination located at the Highway 395 and Hatch Road interchange in Colbert, Washington. Designed as a key component of the Village at Midway development, the project provides convenient access to grocery, specialty food, and fuel services for residents and travelers throughout the growing north Spokane County region.
The approximately 16,000-square-foot building was designed with a contemporary commercial aesthetic that balances functionality, durability, and visual appeal. The structure features concrete masonry bearing walls, a steel structural frame, storefront glazing, decorative canopy elements, and a combination of exterior siding materials that create a strong architectural presence along the highly visible Highway 395 corridor.
Bernardo Wills provided architectural design services for the building shell, coordinating with URM Stores and the broader consultant team to support integration of the market's interior planning and operational requirements. The completed facility includes a full-service grocery market and fueling station that serves as an anchor destination within the larger mixed-use development.
Today, Midway Market functions as both a convenient retail destination and a community gathering place, supporting continued growth and investment in the Colbert area.
